Q:
How did
you get involved with 1050 CHUM?
Since I was a kid my dream was one day to be a DJ on
1050 CHUM. I have worked with the CHUM people for many
years on the business side of things, and frankly had
kind of given up on being an on-air guy, after all these
years. In May 2005 I was approached by my now "Fearless
Leader" at CHUM, Brad Jones, and he asked me if I would
ever consider doing a Show on 1050. I nearly jumped over
the desk to hug him, and replied a very rapid YES!. On
May 2, 2005, I started had my own show, "The Saturday
Afternoon Dance Show", from 11:00am to 6:00 pm, on CHUM,
and I also filled in as the "swing guy" doing the Morning Show
when Gord James was away, and anyone elses spot if they
are on vacation. I loved it, it was a real treat
to have had this opportunity, at "The Greatest Rock and Roll
Oldies Station "1050 CHUM. |
